And you still ask me what I miss?!...
Well; if you could see as I see and feel what I feel, then you would answer.
- I miss fellowship
- I miss recognition
- I miss respect for me and for others
- I miss attention, humility and simplicity.
- I miss commitment and faithfulness
- I miss truth, sincerity and honesty among men.
- I miss equity to give balance to life and justice in society.
- How much I miss sensitivity in the human heart in these last days regarding Love, they are only words thrown carelessly, they call me Father but they don't even let me approach, in their daily lives I am excluded, despised and when someone mocks me they have fun, they build large and beautiful Temples saying it is for me but they don't let me enter there and on top of everything they place on the altar what would be for me my worst enemy pretending to be Me.
I will try to show you a little of my love in the person of the prophet Hosea, just give me a little of your attention, maybe you will understand what I miss.
Gomer, his wife, was a prostitute before becoming Hosea's wife. Gomer gives him three children of prostitution (Ho 1:2,3).
- a) Unhappy Children – Children of prostitution
1st Jezreel - “God Sows or Scatters” (Ho 1:4,5).
2nd Lo-Ruama - “Unfavored or not favored” (Ho 1:6)
3rd Lo-Ami - “Not-my-people” (Ho 1:9) There was prosperity in the golden age during the reign of Jeroboam II who reigned 41 years (Israel – Northern Kingdom) and in the Reign of Uzziah (Judah – Southern Kingdom).
- Northern Kingdom – After the death of King Solomon, the kingdom was divided into 10 tribes (North with the name of Israel or Ephraim which is the name of the larger tribe).
- Southern Kingdom – Two tribes remained united the Southern Kingdom (Judah and Benjamin).
Jeroboam died, chaos and confusion took over Israel, the Assyrians began to disturb and with various attacks managed to invade and conquer the Northern Kingdom (Israel).
Israel was found morally and religiously decayed by the sin of idolatry, even the priests themselves practiced abominable acts (Ho 6:9). The nation quickly degenerated and reached the lowest level of its history, evidenced by prostitution in the temple, disguised as praise to God, and by the sacrifice of children to pagan gods.
- Hosea was instructed by God to stir this cauldron of corruption, which boiled with violence and exhaled its odor toward the Heavenly Father. His divine mission was to insist with the people of Israel to turn back to God. They did not accept his words and therefore came the merciless captivity. His message was ignored by the people, but as a prophet he did not fail.
- The Lord yearns to have Israel back, as a loving husband desires to receive again with open arms and ecstatic heart, his spouse who had rejected and abandoned him, he longs for repentance from the adulterous and idolatrous conduct of his beloved, so that he may wrap her with His great love.
- Therefore Hosea emphasizes Israel's infidelity and its spiritual adultery, as well as other transgressions, but the prophet's objective is to demonstrate God's great love, of the faithful husband (God) to the disloyal wife (Israel).
- b) “Love ... As the Lord Loves ...” (Ho 3:1-5)
- For the second time, the Lord sends the prophet again to seek his beloved adulterous woman (Ho 3:1), She had returned to the life of prostitution and was in deplorable conditions. Gomer had been sold into slavery, the prophet pays her ransom the price of a slave. (Ho 3:2) The sum of 15 pieces of gold was then half the price of a slave. But, with one and a half more omer of barley, which represents a slave's food for a year, this equaled the total price of a slave, that is, 30 pieces of silver. Gomer was then bought, thus being freed from slavery.
And then; does this remind you of something?!....
Jesus paid the price of our ransom, He loves us so much. May God Bless you and let Him enter into your life “Behold, I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears my voice and opens the door I will enter into his house and we will dine together” Rev 3:20 Think about it JESUS loves you. GOD bless you.
