When we studiously examine the Holy Scriptures on the topic “Babylon and its Origin” we will discover something deeper in the Spiritual sense.
Well then; its origin did not begin with “Hammurabi” (Babylon was the name of the capital of Sumeria, in ancient Mesopotamia, which today is Iraq. Babylon means "Gate of God"; the Jews, however, say that it is a term of Hebrew origin, meaning "great confusion" and even appears in the Bible). Babylon has its origin with “Nimrod” great-great-grandson of Noah being the son of Cush who was the son of Ham, this Nimrod comes from the Hebrew root maradh, which means "to rebel". “Cush also fathered Nimrod, the first mighty man on earth”. He was the mightiest of hunters, and that is why it is said: “Mighty as Nimrod”. Initially his kingdom comprised Babel, Erech, Accad and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. (Today Iraq)
From that land he departed for Assyria where he founded Nineveh, (today Current Turkey-Istanbul) Resen-Ir, Calah and Reshen, which lie between Nineveh and Calah, the great city. Gen 10:8-12, He is called gibbor, “warrior”, and this certainly implies that Nimrod was a type of hero (in the aspect of power) in antiquity. Many interpreters relate the expression “mighty hunter before the Lord” with his possible tyranny, in the sense of “hunter of men”, and not just of “beasts”. This seems correct considering a reference in Jeremiah 16:16.
Furthermore, the word “hunting” in various ancient writings refers to a military campaign where people were recruited to make up the armies of the Roman empire, (Flavius Josephus wrote about him) "Little by little, he transformed the state of affairs into a tyranny, arguing that the only way to turn men away from fear of God was to make them continuously dependent on his own power. He threatened to avenge himself on God, if He should again flood the earth; because he would build a tower higher than could be reached by the water and avenge the destruction of his ancestors. The people were eager to follow this counsel, finding it to be slavery to submit to God; so that they undertook to build the tower [...] and it rose with speed beyond all expectations.”
This already gives us a panoramic view of future times for his ideas to be implemented in his posterity, from Assyria came the sovereign emperor Puzur-Assur I 1 950 B.C. and finally Ashurbanipal II c. 612 B.C. in this period the Ancient Babylon emerged and Nimrod's ideas continued to dominate the world without GOD (YHWH= YUD HEI WAV HEI) (Hebrew) (read the history of the Babylonian empire in interface with the Bible), so we will be able to understand the current Geopolitical and religious/spiritual times by studying the Holy Scriptures diligently on the topic mainly Revelation ch. 17 and 18 we will see that this Babylon appears in the material and spiritual plan for, in the current political system, each passing day makes more evident the figure of an Anti-God system (Anti-Christ) manipulating the masses to follow his doctrinal practices for an independence from GOD (“Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets; for God has already judged your cause against her”. Revelation 18:20
We see that the holy apostles are in the New Covenant and the prophets in the Old Covenant so we can see a transition of powers accompanying the transitions of the figures of the OT to the realities of the NT.
We had Israel working in the figures (“Therefore let no one judge you in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day—
things that are merely a shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ” - Col. 2:16,17) so also the devil has been acting through the Babylonian system in the political and spiritual/religious field using Sophism to deceive the faithful of the earth, but we have the ALMIGHTY GOD with his eyes attentive (“My eyes will be upon the faithful of the land, so that they may sit with me; he who walks in a straight path, he shall serve me”. Psalms 101:6). Would it be possible for GOD to use the psalmist to prophesy (to be the mouth of GOD) to his contemporaries using the future verb tense as he did?... I believe not, and the Word of GOD gives its answer as a reward to the one who seeks.
See “To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with me on my throne; just as I also overcame and sat down with my Father on His throne” - Revelation 3:21, (from King David to John in Revelation there is a timeline of approximately 1,100 years) if there was a woman in Israel who prophesied and influenced the king, who influenced the people of God in the past, we see in Revelation the same spirit of that woman acting in our days (Rev. 2:20), but we also see the same spirit that was upon Moses and Elijah acting in the People of God in the final days (in the two houses of Israel: Jews and Gentiles according to the flesh, but Israelites according to the Spirit Gal. 6:16) therefore, just as Daniel even living within Babylon with his brothers was not contaminated, that is, did not live the contaminating practices of Babylon, but was counselor and first minister of the kings (although Nebuchadnezzar wanted to make him a son of Babylon by changing his name) he could not because he already had an identity with the true GOD
Daniel is an example for the faithful even to this day for those who want to serve GOD, therefore with regard to the physical life of the current Babylonian system (political), and the spiritual Babylonian we are out! (“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues”. Revelation 18:4)
Note: the harlot of Revelation 17 is Babylon of Chapter 18, in the figurative sense the woman who has the Spouse is the Church, the woman who does not have a fixed husband is the adulteress (harlot) for she is not interested in pleasing any husband, but herself, only through her actions can we see the difference between the true and the false, (Lust, sensuality, indecency, adultery both physical and spiritual etc..), are evident characteristics of this character mounted on the beast (system of human government of Ch. 17); her being mounted means to say organized in her methods, dogmas and doctrines, so all the "businesses" franchised must work according to the material provided by the matrix (mother), for they are her affiliates or daughters.
Let each angel of the Congregation examine with diligence how he has led the sheep before the LORD JESUS CHRIST in these end times, Revelation 1:20
