This word is in our lives daily, that is, we always use it in our day-to-day life, we see this word as the most beautiful. But what is the importance of "love" and why is it the greatest as the Bible affirms us saying in 1 Corinthians 13:13 "Now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love".
If we analyze as Christians, love is more present in our lives than anything else; we depend on love in everything, that is, its presence is constant.
So what would love be? Forgiving those who have hurt us, not taking revenge, enduring all things and etc.? Love is always more, more than a feast to the despised hungry, more than the shadow of rest on the way, and independent of any circumstances, love is always first.
Love should be present even more in the life of a Christian, why? "Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things" (1 Corinthians 13:7).
When the apostle Paul uses the word "suffers", he does not say it just to say it, for we see in the Bible how much he suffered for love of Christ, Our Lord Jesus, for he was always an example of how to overcome the persecutions and sufferings that we face daily for love of the gospel as he affirms to us when he says "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered". (Romans 8:36); and believe in what is invisible to our eyes when the word of the Lord Jesus tells us "Now without faith it is impossible to please Him; because it is necessary that the one who approaches God believes that He exists, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him" (Hebrews 11:6).
When we hope in God the word that the prophet Isaiah says is fulfilled in us "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint" (Isaiah 40:31 ). And we must endure all that we still have to go through, with perseverance in the Lord Jesus, for He strengthens us, and enduring the struggles here, we will meet with Him on the final day and together we will ascend, for love was the greatest gift that God gave each one, for he who puts love in everything he does his life even with the daily struggles that are necessary to face, will always be a river of blessing "If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; or if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer" (2 Corinthians 1:6).
That is why we must always be returning to the first love every day, because love always renews us and strengthens us encouraging us to endure all that we still have to go through on this earth to achieve from God the best that for each one He has prepared for us.
Never forget the importance and the need for love that each one of us must have, for it is necessary to live with love in our hearts, for he who affirms to have GOD within him must have love, for He is the greatest proof and example of love that we must have.
And you? What do you understand by love? Are we pleasing God when it comes to love? Have we loved the word of GOD, His Work and our brothers? Meditate.
May the peace of the Lord Jesus be with each one of you. Amen!
