There are moments when we encounter facts that make us think about the direction that so-called evangelicals are taking, not only in our country but, consequently, throughout the world. Some time ago when I was waiting my turn to be seen at a doctor's office, I began to flip through those common magazines that serve as a distraction for patients waiting their turn and I came across an interview with a pastor, leader of a large evangelical denomination, who until recently was a defender of some of the biblical doctrines.
When asked why the women who were members of the church he presides over were not dressing in skirts as they used to do, he was fortunate to say that the bible is clear when it prohibits women from wearing men's clothing and vice-versa, for this reason such doctrine, but unfortunate when he maintained that whoever decides what is men's clothing or women's clothing is society and the fact that contemporary society does not make this distinction, they also do not make it.
Well, this answer for any unprepared Christian may seem very intelligent and very convincing, but let us analyze its content in depth. In making this statement this leader perfectly expressed what today's evangelical leaders are thinking and how they are acting: they are allowing a corrupt, sinful society distant from divine principles to dictate the rules within such denominations.
They are, unfortunately, becoming a welcoming asylum for all the snares of evil, the bible and its sound doctrines, preserved even with the innocent blood of primitive Christians no longer have value, what really prevails is society with its thoughts and dictates.
This society makes sinful plans to change not only the garments of God's servants, but profound concepts such as the legalization of abortion, marriage between homosexuals, and others. Will the churches continue to mold their behavior by what the liberal current society thinks? From what we perceive the pastor leader of the largest evangelical church in the country has already given his message.
We belonging to the true church and fighters for the restoration of its practices, will we continue walking against the grain of this perverted society or will we do as the so-called current churches
Let us continue, even with tears in our eyes, to proclaim the genuine gospel that leads us to sanctification and let us wait like the prudent virgins with our lamps lit for the return of the bridegroom.
