Irresponsible, reckless, living according to the world is the image we see when we look at a good portion of the young people who attend the denominations.
They show through their acts that they are devoid of commitment to the Lord and give us the idea of immunity to the laws dictated by the Living God; by which we should guide our living.
They act according to the desires of their hearts, as if they were covered by a statute similar to that of a minor (Statute of the Minor) and thus untouchable by the hand of the Eternal.
It is a fact that this way of life chosen by many is wrong, it proceeds from the heart of the evil one and cannot be spread among our young people. The Lord calls our attention to a life of holiness. And warns us about sin.
When is the young person spiritually responsible for his life?
From the moment they know how to discern between right and wrong, between doing the Lord's will or not. And they become inexcusable, responsible for their evil acts and for them, if there is no repentance, they shall answer in the final judgment.
Some aspects that should be observed by servants in their youth:
A strong young person lives in Holiness:
“How can a young person keep his life pure? It is only by obeying your commandments.” Ps 119.9
This implies keeping God's precepts at all times. We must be continually holy:
a) Being a new creature:
"And so, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have been made new." 2Co 5.17
b) In prayer:
"Pray so that you do not enter into temptation." Lc 22.40;
"Pray without ceasing." 1Ts 5.17;
"Confess, then, your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous can do much by its effectiveness." Tg 5.16
c) In Fasting:
"When you fast, do not look sad like the hypocrites; because they disfigure their faces in order to appear to men that they fast. In truth I say to you that they have already received their reward. in order not to appear to men that you fast, but to your Father, in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you." Mt 6.16,18;
d) In Praise:
"I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell all your wonders." Ps 9.1;
"Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and let all peoples praise him." Rm 15.11
e) Being good:
"Blessed are the merciful, for they will obtain mercy." Mt 5.7
f) Being humble:
"Blessed are the humble in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Mt 5.3
g) Honoring parents:
"Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the LORD, your God, gives you." Ex 20.12 and more: Pv 30.17; 6.20; Mt 15.4
