Check out this Christian teaching based on the adapted study of the Book WHAT IS RESTORATION WORK?, authored by Pastor Samuel Alves de Arruda.
"Greet one another with a holy kiss..." (Romans 16.16).
The Saints should greet each other with the "PEACE OF THE LORD JESUS" and with a holy kiss.
The apostle, greeting the Church in Rome, did so with a holy kiss, saying: "the Churches of Christ greet you".
We find the following greetings of Paul, to the Churches of Christ: Romans 16.16, 1 Thessalonians 5.26, 1 Corinthians 16.20, and 2 Corinthians 13.12.
We also find the apostle Peter greeting with the same kiss, as we read in 1 Peter 5.14.
In none of these texts do we find restrictions regarding gender or color so that such commandment is not fulfilled.
In the Church of God, brothers greet sisters, and the sisters, in the same way, greet the brothers in a true confession of faith, without any feeling of malice or ill intent.
The Lord has shown us (revealed) that the holy kiss is the biblical greeting that is again being practiced by us, in times of Restoration.
It is known that the term used as "holy kiss" means kiss, or a type of holy kiss, and in that era they were used by the disciples of Jesus on the face.
In another biblical text, we find that Jesus accepted the greeting of a woman, at his feet.
Are we better than the Master who commanded through his Spirit, so that the Church would do so? Even the Lord demanded this greeting. (Luke 6.45).
What is understood from the doctrine presented is that the greeting should be performed in the form of a sanctified kiss as a sign of union, charisma and fraternity, without respect of persons.
Since the emphasis is on the kiss, or rather, the kiss, we have adopted and perform the holy greeting on the knuckles.
