Zacchaeus, curious, left his post só to see Jesus, but he was so small!(in stature and in character) The crowd prevented him... But he finds a way... Climbs in the tree.
How many times do we leave our comfort zone also wanting to see Jesus!
But we can't... There is a crowd in front of us! A crowd of problems... Traumas... sorrows... Vices...
We even manage to see him from the top of our tree. The merit is in descending from the pedestal of hypocrisy...
Let us not listen to the call! Let us not go meet him! We still haven't understood anything, we are without God
No matter how much we grow we are small... Like Zacchaeus, but children eager for the Father's lap!We need this personal encounter. Because it's no longer possible to stay away from Jesus!
“Zacchaeus, come down quickly, because today I must stay at your house” Luke 19:5
Jesus invited himself To the house of the tax collector what did he say to him when he arrived there? I don't know... the Bible doesn't say! And what does Jesus have to say to us?
Let us have the courage of Zacchaeus let us descend from the tree let us receive Jesus in our house he will not make any demands He Restores!
Shows us the condition of having been created in the image and likeness of God! And Zacchaeus was transformed: Lord I will change I will throw away what is no good I will return what I stole I will clean up my soul and I will be a new man
[And Jesus said to him:]
Today salvation has entered this house because why didn't Jesus say to him: when he was on the tree? Or when he was already on the ground? Jesus only said when Zacchaeus opened his heart Zacchaeus... a rich man
Of a life so empty... empty of God! Deep in that heart there must have been the desire of an encounter! Even those who use drugs those who prostitute themselves those who drink.
Deep down... they thirst for Jesus! Enough of crutches, amulets, Blessings from gurus... new age!
We need Jesus, the God incarnate! The one who stripped himself of divinity, the one who became human so that we could touch him!
If you live sad, if life is empty, don't look for culprits! Whoever stays in excuses, doesn't want to see Jesus. Nor is he capable of climbing in the tree... much less coming down!
God is so wonderful that he is capable of “objectifying himself” to enter the smallest opening we offer him!
Come, Lord Jesus! You entered Zacchaeus' life before he was transformed! Pass For! Enter! Stay! Hold my hand make your dwelling in my heart! And whisper to my ear: Today salvation has entered this house!
