Sometimes the dear reader may find this title strange, however we want to base ourselves on the text below Ev. John 01:17 - Because the law was given by Moses; grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
We now proceed to analyze the subject carefully, remembering that we speak of god in the presence of god, therefore we have the responsibility of not twisting the word, nor taking text isolated, out of context.
Galatians 5:4 - Separated you are from christ, you who justify yourselves by the law; from grace you have fallen.
We observe that when the Bible speaks of Moses it speaks of the law, because the law came by Moses, therefore see that those who justify themselves by it are separated from christ.
Luke 9:34 and 35 - and, as he said this, a cloud came that covered them with its shadow; and, as they entered the cloud, they were afraid.
And a voice came out of the cloud saying: - this is my beloved son; listen to Him.
Let us see that this passage speaks to us of the mount of transfiguration, where Moses and Elijah appeared with christ, and no order was given to listen to Moses or Elijah but to Jesus Christ. I also want to clarify that Moses represents the law and Elijah the prophets, therefore it is that they appeared with christ Jesus there on the mount.
Ev. John 3:14 and 15 - and, as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so it is necessary that the son of man be lifted up:
That everyone who believes in Him may not perish, but have eternal life.
Acts 3:22, 23 and 24 - because Moses said: The Lord your God will raise up from among your brothers a prophet like me; to him you shall listen to all that he says to you.
And it shall happen that every soul that does not listen to this prophet shall be destroyed from among the people.
And all the prophets, from Samuel, all who spoke afterward, also announced these days.
See that every soul would have to listen not to Moses, but to the prophet whom God would raise up, and of this, the prophets spoke about him and about the day when he would be raised up; now who is this prophet whom God would raise up?
We know that none of the prophets prophesied about Moses but about Christ Jesus, see in the text below:
Ev. John 1:45 - Philip found Nathanael, and said to him: we have found him of whom Moses wrote in the law, and the prophets: Jesus of Nazareth, son of Joseph.
Ev. John 5:44 to 47 - how can you believe, receiving honor from one another, and not seeking the honor that comes only from God?
Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you, Moses, in whom you hope.
Because, if you believed in Moses you would believe in me; because he wrote about me.
But, if you do not believe in his writings, how will you believe in my words?
Observe that it is to believe in the writings of Moses, which are found in the Bible, and not in words of the present day.
Luke 24:27, 44 and 45 - and, beginning with Moses, and with all the prophets, he explained to them what concerning him was found in all the Scriptures.
And he said to them: these are the words that I said to you while still with you: that it was necessary that all that was written about me in the Law of Moses, and in the prophets and in the Psalms be fulfilled.
Then he opened their understanding to comprehend the Scriptures.
II Samuel 23:2 to 5 - the spirit of the Lord spoke by me, and his word was in my mouth.
Said the God of Israel, the rock of Israel spoke to me: there shall be a just one who dominates over men, who dominates in the fear of God.
And he shall be like the light of morning, when the sun rises, morning without clouds, when by its splendor and by the rain the grass springs from the earth.
Although my house is not such with God, yet he established with me an everlasting covenant, which in all things shall be well ordered and kept, because all my salvation and all my pleasure is in Him, although he has not yet made it spring forth.
Observe that this prophecy refers to Christ, and Samuel could speak about the covenant and the salvation of him who had not yet sprung forth, and we know that christ made us a new covenant and gave us salvation.
Isaiah 9:6 - Because, a child is born to us, a son is given to us; and the dominion is upon his shoulders; and his name shall be: Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 53:10, 11 and 12 - yet, it pleased the Lord to crush him, making him suffer; when his soul makes itself an offering for sin, he shall see his offspring, shall prolong his days; and the good pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
The work of his soul he shall see, and be satisfied; with his knowledge my servant, the just one, shall justify many, because he shall bear their iniquities upon himself.
Therefore I will give him a portion among many, and with the mighty he shall divide the spoil; because he poured out his soul unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors; but He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Acts 3:14 - But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked that a murderous man be given to you.
Matthew 13:57 - And they took offense at Him. Jesus, however, said to them: there is no prophet without honor, except in his Country and in his house.
Ev. John 4:19 - the woman said to him: Lord, I see that you are a prophet.
Luke 7:16 - And fear seized all, and they glorified God, saying: A great prophet has risen among us, and God has visited his people.
Hebrews 7:11 and 14 - So that, if perfection were by the Levitical priesthood (because under Him the people received the Law), what necessity was there then that another priesthood should rise, according to the order of Melchizedek, and not be called according to the order of Aaron.
Since it is manifest that our Lord proceeded from Judah, and concerning this tribe Moses never spoke of priesthood.
If we take the sequence of the text of Hebrews 7, we shall see that the preceding commandment (law) is abrogated because of its weakness and uselessness; and that the Law perfected nothing and a better hope was introduced to us (ver. 18 and 19). Of so much better covenant Jesus was made a surety. Because the law constitutes high priests of weak men, but the Word of the oath, which came after the Law, constitutes the son, perfect forever. (ver. 28).
Hebrews 3:5 and 6 – And, verily, Moses was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of the things that were to be announced;
But Christ, as a son over his own house; which house we are, if we only keep firm the confidence and the glory of hope unto the end.
Galatians 3:10, 11 and 12 - All those then who are of the works of the Law are under the curse; because it is written: Cursed is everyone who does not abide in all things that are written in the Book of the Law, to do them.
And it is evident that by the Law no one shall be justified before God, because the just shall live by faith.
Now the Law is not of faith; but the man who does these things shall live by them.
Galatians 3:24 to 29 - In such a way that the Law was a tutor to us, to lead us to Christ, that by faith we should be justified.
But, after faith came, we are no longer under a tutor.
Because all are sons of God by faith in Jesus Christ.
Because as many as were baptized in Christ have already clothed yourselves with Christ.
In this there is neither Jew nor Greek; there is neither servant nor free; there is neither male nor female; because you are all one in Christ Jesus.
And, if you are of Christ, then you are descendants of Abraham, and heirs according to the promise.
Galatians 5:6 - Because in Jesus Christ neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any virtue; but rather faith which works by love.
Galatians 5:18 and 24 - But, if you are guided by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.
And those who are of Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
Acts 21:21 - And they have been informed about you that you teach all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to separate themselves from Moses, saying that they should not circumcise their children nor walk according to the custom of the Law.
If we take the sequence of the text, we shall see that Paul apostle of the Lord Jesus, who taught about the veil (I Corinthians 11:1 to 16), the Holy Kiss (Romans 16:16 to 18), writer of almost half of the New Testament; a man who did not learn from any man, but by divine revelation (Galatians 1:12), was stoned for commanding the people to separate themselves from Moses. We also see that Paul wrote in I Corinthians 11:01, be imitators of me as I am of Christ. And what is your condition in the face of this Word?
Also see what the Bible continues to say on the subject.
Ev. John 6:32, 33, 35 and 54 - Jesus said to them therefore: Verily, verily I say to you: Moses did not give you the bread of Heaven; but my Father gives you the true bread of Heaven.
Because the bread of God is he that comes down from Heaven and gives life to the world.
And Jesus said to them: I am the Bread of Life: He who comes to me shall not hunger; and he who believes in me shall never thirst.
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life; and I will raise him up on the last day.
Romans 4:14 - Because, if those who are of the Law are heirs, then faith is void and the promise is annulled.
Romans 8:3 - Because what was impossible to the Law, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending his Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, by sin condemned sin in the flesh;
And Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary his mother: Behold, this is set for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that is contradicted. And a sword shall also pierce your own soul, that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed. (Luke 2:34,35).
Acts 13:39 - And by all that, by the Law of Moses, you could not be justified, by him is justified everyone who believes.
II Corinthians 3:7 and 8 - And, if the ministry of death, engraved with letters in stones, came in glory, so that the children of Israel could not fix their eyes on the face of Moses, because of the glory on his face, which was transitory,
How shall not the ministry of the spirit be of greater glory?
You dear brother, and friend who reads this study, in which ministry are you, of Jesus or of Moses?
What anointing have you received?
See what God says about this.
To Solomon: - Behold, I have done according to your words. Behold, I have given you a heart so wise and understanding, that before you your equal was not, and after you your equal shall not arise (I Kings 3:10 and 12).
However, to the church, God said in I John 2:20 - And you have the anointing of the Holy One, and you know all things.
Who is this holy one if not the Lord Jesus Christ?
Then see that the church does not have the anointing of any of the prophets or apostles or any other person or being, but of Jesus Christ who is the holy spirit poured out upon everyone who calls upon His Name (Acts 2:38 - and Peter said to them (full of the Holy Spirit): Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the holy spirit;) although there is persecution against the church, this is so that the word may be fulfilled, see below:
Matthew 10:22 - And hated of all shall you be because of my Name: But he who perseveres unto the end shall be saved.
After reading this study and the dear one wishes to be or continue in the ministry of Moses, under the Law must observe the text below:
James 2:8, 9 and 10 - Yet, if you fulfill, according to Scripture, the Royal Law: You shall love your neighbor as yourself, you do well but, if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are rebuked by the Law as transgressors.
Because whoever keeps the whole Law, and stumbles at one point, has become guilty of all.
God bless you and help you understand spiritual things.
