Return to First Love Rev. 2:4,5nRelativism is a doctrine that preaches that something is relative, contrary to an absolute, categorical idea. (Attitude or doctrine that affirms that truths (moral, religious, political, scientific, etc. - Wikipedia) vary according to the era, place, social group and individuals of each place.) nWhat the Bible guides us to has become outdated, without reason in a globalized world and doesn't let me live as I need to, taking advantage of each opportunity to "be happy" in my own way. nAs we see it, relativism does not let us accept an absolute truth, there can be several truths in the same context. This leads our mind to a wandering of opinions without reaching an exact conclusion. The current thinking is that we can have our heart turned to the supreme God and our exteriors totally connected to the world. nAs if we were fragmented people. nNot only young people have been affected by these ideas, but even mature and experienced Christians have found in this a way to express more hidden desires. nJust look inside the so-called "evangelical churches" and we will see the change in values. Before Christians were known for their exemplary way of dressing, speaking, treating others and language. And today? nToday we don't know them this way anymore, people are within the so-called common standard. They sing on pulpits with flashy, extravagant clothes, not caring if they are defrauding the brothers or not. They want to show themselves at all costs as if that would guarantee them being modern and current. nThe men in sequence decided that they will also be modern, two earrings in each ear, long hair and a guitar to take out that current sound and without God's anointing. nWe are running towards the total loss of Christian character. nWe are no longer known as a different people. Of bright face and relieved face. For we are amid the rush, the noise that everyone makes at the same time. nWe left our Bible aside and only carry the computer or the phone with it in e-books. I have nothing against technology, I use it a lot too and praise God for every novelty that appears. But we must be very careful. We are entering a world where no one is different in the way of speaking, walking and living. We are entering a world of factories of thin people, seminude and women resembling men and men losing the reference of head and becoming tails. nSee what this Christian Sociologist wrote n"We can compare the role of each one as a snake and the octopus. The woman pays attention to several things at the same time. We need to be like this so we can be mothers, wives and professionals. The man doesn't, he needs to concentrate. After all he is shrewd, he has to have a more focused objective. Gets into what he's doing and doesn't pay attention to anything else. He has to be alert to constant danger. nWe women were not called to take the place of man, we are helpers, we are those who are in the rear, guarding the man, the family, attentive to various things while the man focuses his objectives to win. nI get sad when I see women commanding churches, giving orders to men and them lowering their heads and becoming wimps. The place of man and woman is being reversed and this creates in us unnecessary stress, a suffocating life that takes us nowhere. nWe don't need equal rights to be women of expression and value. We need to conquer a space without being macho, without leaving men in the role of spectator. He should be the head of the family, the company and the churches. nEach one has a function, an importance before God, we don't need to go crazy desperately wanting what is not our role. Going crazy and exposing ourselves to improper situations. We Christian women need to review our values, our rules of conduct and faith, see if God in Christ is accepting our life as a sweet offering to the Lord, or we are like Eve, listening to the serpent and still contaminating our husbands and children."n By: Silvia Letícia Carrijo de Azevedo Sá (Net)nProverbs teaches us with great clarity and wisdom how to be a woman with biblical values that every man would like to have. Let's see what she is like: "Who can find a virtuous woman? Her value far exceeds that of rubies. The heart of her husband trusts in her; thus he will not lack gain (will work peacefully, without worries about what the woman is doing. If she is in the street, in the squares.) She only does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life. She seeks wool and linen, and works willingly with her hands. (helps her husband in whatever is necessary, doesn't just wait for him and him for everything.) She rises, even at night, to give food to those of the house, and distribute the task of the servants." (Proverbs 31:10-16) She doesn't just wait for others to do it, knows her house, her family, doesn't lose sight of them. nnIn Pv.12.4, it is written that "A virtuous woman is the crown of her husband, but she who behaves shamefully is like rottenness in his bones".nHere many women want to take advantage of the term crown because it goes on the head and feels entitled to be above the male, but its meaning is of legitimate authority of a king over his kingdom, and in the case of the virtuous woman she represents the legitimate authority of the husband over his home and in society that is truly wonderful. nAwake people of God and return to first LovennPastor: José Ramosnn
