YOU MUST NOT PARTICIPATE IN ANY FORM OF OCCULTISM! DO YOU KNOW WHY?
"I am the Lord God, a jealous God..." You shall have no other gods before Me." "Seek first the kingdom of God..."
AND STILL, DID YOU KNOW THAT...
> God determined that spiritualist mediums be killed? "You shall not suffer a witch to live" (Exodus 22:18).
> Did you know that to do business with Spiritism means to become contaminated, and thus become unfit to present yourself before God to worship Him? "Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God" (Leviticus 19:31).
> Did you know that God casts out from His people all those who follow the practices of Spiritism? "When someone turns to mediums and spiritists... I will set my face against him and will cut him off from his people" (Leviticus 20:6)
> Did you know that stoning, leading to death, was the sentence that God pronounced against spiritualist mediums? "A man or woman who is a medium or spiritist among you must be put to death. You are to stone them; their blood will be on their own heads" (Leviticus 20:27)
> Did you know that witchcraft, divination, crystal balls, palm reading, etc., are allied with Spiritism, and all are equally condemned by God? "Let no one be found among you... who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead" (Deuteronomy 18:10,11).
> Did you know that the Canaanites were destroyed because of their participation in Spiritism? "Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord, and... your God will drive out those nations before you" (Deuteronomy 18:12).
> Did you know that when Saul, king of Israel, resolved to be faithful to God, he rid the land of all spiritualist mediums? "Saul had expelled the mediums and spiritists" (1 Samuel 28:3).
> Did you know that when Saul himself consulted a spiritualist medium, it was because his sins had made it impossible for him to communicate with God? "Saul inquired of the Lord, but the Lord did not answer him..."(1 Chronicles 10:13).
> Did you know that Saul lost the throne and had a miserable death because this was God's condemnation for him becoming involved with Spiritism? "So Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord; he did not keep the word of the Lord and even consulted a medium for guidance" (1 Chronicles 10:13).
> Did you know that one of the worst sins that the wicked Manasseh committed was spiritism? "[He] practiced divination and witchcraft, and consulted mediums and spiritists... to provoke [the Lord] to anger" (2 Chronicles 33:6).
> Did you know that one of the reasons God rejected Israel was because of their involvement with Spiritism? "You, Lord, have abandoned your people, the descendants of Jacob, because... they are full of diviners from the east" (Isaiah 2:6).
> Did you know that consulting the dead is an insult to God, for He wants us to inquire directly of Him? "When someone tells you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Should they go to the dead on behalf of the living?" (Isaiah 8:19).
> Did you know that the rich man cannot communicate with his brothers after death, and Lazarus also cannot? (Read Luke 16:19-31). Therefore, it is not possible to communicate with the dead. What manifests in these attempts to communicate with deceased people are demons, who pretend to be those people. The dead do not return. (See 2 Samuel 12:15-23).
> Did you know that Peter condemned Simon who practiced sorcery and amazed the people? (Acts 8:6-24).
> Did you know that Paul caused Elymas, the sorcerer, to become blind? (Acts 13:6-12).
> Did you know that the spiritualist medium is possessed by demons, like the slave girl in Philippi, from whom Paul cast out a demon in the name of Jesus. (Acts 16:16-18).
> Did you know that true Christians must not associate in any way with the dark practices of Spiritism? (Acts 19:19).
> Did you know that Spiritism is one of the works of the "flesh" and that those who participate in Spiritism will never inherit the kingdom of God? (Galatians 5:19-21).
> Did you know that those who do not repent of the practices of Spiritism have no place in heaven, but will be thrown into the lake that burns with fire and sulfur? (Revelation 21:8; 22:15).
> Did you know that the teachings of Spiritism are "doctrines of demons"? "The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons" (1 Timothy 4:1).
OBEDIENCE TO GOD IS THE ONLY WAY OUT
In these days of sadness and distress, many are confused. They try to find a quick solution to their problems or sorrows. Being ignorant of God's ways, His patience, and His infinite wisdom and interest in their well-being, they run to men to help them. Or, worse yet, they go to Satan to ask him for help. Result: instead of freeing themselves from their problems, they end up entangling themselves more and more with them. The reason for this is that Satan is not our friend, but our enemy.
He is at war against man and God.
God says that Satan is a "defeated enemy". He has no power except lies and deception. Those who are trapped under his power are those who believe his lies. The demons are clever representatives, and they delight in making false claims of being "Caboclos", "Orixás", "Pretos Velhos", "saints", or angels. If the reader goes to Spiritism for advice, they will fall into the devil's trap, and will become his slave. For the Word of God says: "The wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23).
If you seek God for wisdom and counsel, and follow Jesus, He will free you from your problem. No, God will not pay you a wage for trusting in Him; but He has a gift to give you - and that gift is eternal life.
"Do you not know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness [eternal life]?" (Romans 6:16).
"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:7).
"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you" (Isaiah 26:3).
Who can free you? Deliverance can only come through one person - Jesus Christ.
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord.
Jesus said: "I am the way and the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6).
