The Lord Jesus Christ has required of His people zeal and sanctification, for both sexes and all ages: Tito 2.1-10: "...Let the aged men be sober, grave, prudent, sound in the faith, in charity, and in patience".
"The aged women, likewise, that they be serious in their conduct, as befits the saints, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed".
"To the young men.... an example of works; in doctrine showing incorruption, gravity, sincerity, sound speech and irreproachable, that the adversary may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of us".
"To servants.... that they subject themselves to their masters, and in all things please them, not contradicting...".
Sound doctrine is for all: man, woman, in bearing with decency, in clothing, modesty of dress, use of jewelry. The woman is not permitted to cut or braid her hair.
THE IMPORTANCE OF DOCTRINE
I Corinthians 2.14 - Now the natural man does not understand the things of the Spirit of God, for they seem foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The word Doctrine means: Teaching or Discipleship and etc.... It is impossible to teach the Bible without teaching doctrine. Some verses refer to doctrine, read them:
I Tim. 4:13 "Continue in reading, exhorting and teaching...".
I Tim. 5:17 "...Especially those who labor in word and doctrine.".
Acts 2:42 "And they persevered in the doctrine of the apostles...".
II Tim. 3:16 "All Scripture divinely inspired is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness".
II Tim. 4:2 "Preach the word, be instant in season and out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and doctrine".
II John vs. 9 "Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God";
There is no better teacher of Divine Truth than the Holy Spirit, the author of the Bible. The truth always exalts Christ, any teaching that denies "Jesus" as the incarnate Word is false and therefore wrong!
John 16:13 "But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth";
II John vs. 10 "If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him in your house, nor greet him".
