Obra em restauração is the re-establishment of the doctrines of the apostles, which were forgotten for centuries, whose doctrines were revealed to us in these last times.
We want to make it very clear that we do not belong to a denomination called "Obra da Restauração". That denomination is "of restoration" saying so they already consider themselves restored, we, however, are still being restored and working in the re-establishment of apostolic doctrines.
We speak of a true OBRA EM RESTAURAÇÃO we continue awaiting from the Lord Jesus Cristo the revelations that will make us reach the stature of a perfect man.
WHEN DID THIS OBRA BEGIN? WHO BEGAN IT?
Many think and claim that we are the initiators of this obra, but it is fitting to clarify that we were also reached by it, whose beginning took place through the apostles, still in the beginning of Christianity.
After many years, with biblical and apostolic doctrines being forgotten, God again reveals his secrets to his servants, the prophets.
In the city of Ibitinga, State of São Paulo, the beginning of this obra took place by divine providence, when the author of this book was reached by the revelation of the word of God.
Being Baptist from birth (07-02-36), since his parents were already Baptists, including the founders of the local Baptist Church, in 1956 the author was baptized in the titles: FATHER, SON, and HOLY SPIRIT, afterwards he became apostate until the year 1960, returning with fervor and interest in serving God with all his heart, he soon became a preacher of the Gospel, still as a good Baptist of the Brazilian Baptist Convention.
In 1961, being reached by the great blessing of the baptism of the Holy Spirit with a group of Baptists who became renewed (Spiritual Renewal Movement), an incident occurred: They were excluded, and were subsequently rehabilitated, as the entire Church had ended up receiving the same doctrine.
In 1964, at a meeting of Renewed ones, in the city of Campinas (SP), he met with a group called "Restauração", through them he was in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), where he was able to know the doctrine better.
Returning to his origin, that is, the Baptist Church, he brought them the doctrines he had learned: Supper with Unleavened Bread, Holy Kiss, Feet Washing, Use of the veil by sisters to pray and prophesy.
Because of these doctrinal points, he was again excluded from the Baptist denomination, after which he joined the Obra da Restauração.
However, the Lord, wanting the perfection of the saints, did not delay in revealing more of his word to him. In 1968 he was reached by the revelation of baptism in the name of Our Lord Jesus, and was subsequently baptized in the NAME OF THE LORD JESUS CRISTO.
Because of this revelation and this baptism, he was soon excluded from the then "Obra da Restauração". It is amazing so many exclusions, it is also to be glorified to God that none occurred because of sin or transgression, but solely because of being interested in obeying the ineffable Word of God.
Upon disassociating from the denominations, the Obra em Restauração began, with the Church in Ibitinga (SP) initially composed of four people (the author and his wife, his father-in-law, and one other man).
After many persecutions, slanders, affronts, threats and criticisms from evangelical organizations, the Lord Jesus Cristo opened the doors of heaven to him, and this Obra became a strong people, clothed with power, who fear neither death nor struggles, a people ready to say: We want to be with Cristo where the struggle is fought.
