Despite all religious tradition and customs of peoples from various countries, it is impossible that Jesus was born on December 25th, given that in the East it is winter at that time of year, and the shepherds would not be guarding the flock in the field because of the harsh cold, but logically they would have their flocks in their houses and corrals ( Luc. 2:8).
Caesar Augustus called the people to a census before winter knowing that the people would be prevented from traveling due to the harsh cold.(Luc.2: l).
John the Baptist was conceived in the time of the "division of Abias"( Luc. 1:5) and Jesus Christ was conceived six months after the division or order of Abias.
What is the division or order of Abias? It means 24 divisions or orders of priests, ordained by David, to minister in the House of the Lord. Each division of priests would officiate for 15 days. ( I Crôn.24:7a 10).
Note that the order of Abias was the eighth, therefore, with each division being fifteen days, the said division would be ministered in the fourth month - TAMUZ / ABE; at that time John the Baptist was begotten, six months later, the Lord Jesus Christ. Adding nine months of gestation arrives at the month ETANIM/ BUE, the time when it is concluded that the Messiah was born.
See on the following page the chronological calculation chart, where the Brazilian and Jewish calendars are compared and related to the divisions and events narrated in the Word of God and, consequently, determines the time when Our Lord Jesus Christ was born.
We want to clarify that Passover is a moveable feast, sometimes falls in the beginning of March, sometimes at the beginning of April. Passover is the part of the Jewish calendar that in turn considers the lunar year and this makes it vary as to the date in relation to our calendar which considers the solar year.
The month of Nisan or Abib in the Jewish calendar falls between the months of March and April of our calendar.
Comparing the dates, the calendars, the feasts and the divisions with the Word of God, we will have the conclusion that the Messiah was born between the months of September and October, in the height of Eastern summer, and not in December in winter as the stories, fables and religious traditions tell.
