What determines the success or failure of any person is the foundation of support of their life, that is, in what thing or in whom they trust, and why not say, in what they place their bets, which is the case for many who see life as a game. In any case, it will be this that will make the difference in the results.
There are various types of people, and of course each one with their particularities, however the desire of all is to win, to be victorious, for no one wants to be a defeated person, living in misery at the mercy of chance, however many of them lack the knowledge that the determination of victory depends simply on where their lives are firmly established.
A football player, for example, in many cases trusts simply in the precision and power of his legs, but a simple injury is enough and he is already unable to perform his functions, because he depends on the good condition of his legs, that is, simply on legs one cannot rely. People who live from physical beauty often trust only in their beauty, however age arrives and beauty also goes away, bringing much annoyance to those who only trusted in it. However the most tragic case is that of those who possess wealth and place their trust in it, for these many things can happen among which some will be mentioned.
There have been cases and still are of people who trusted in their wealth, however it only took one wrong investment and all wealth ceased to exist, leaving only debts and much sadness, and consequently the pseudo friends left. There were also people who deposited all their credibility in their wealth, however upon acquiring an incurable disease, they spent all the money they had, and it did not help at all, they died, their wealth was also not capable of saving their lives. With this we can conclude that neither can one trust in wealth.
In whom should we trust.
The only way to become victorious people is to place trust in someone who is not perishable, who can remain unshakeable regardless of what happens. The one who is responsible for everything and everyone, who really cares about us, and without him nothing would exist, THE ONLY ONE, WHO WAS WHO IS AND IS TO COME, JESUS CHRIST, THE ALMIGHTY, OMNIPRESENT AND OMNISCIENT GOD, in him we can trust.
JESUS is the only worthy of trust, he is always ready to listen to us and grant the desires of our hearts, as long as our trust is placed in him.
In the book of Jeremiah in Chapter 17 verses 7 and 8, there is written a wonderful truth, which we cannot forget: Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose trust is the LORD. Because he will be like a tree planted by the waters, that extends its roots to the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, but its leaf stays green; and in the year of drought he does not toil, nor does he cease to bear fruit.
We have seen through these verses that it is of paramount importance for man to trust in the LORD, for thus he has nothing to fear, since he will be forever supported by the one who has everything in his hands and can give: health, wealth, joy, among other things, and mainly eternal life, for health wealth and joy and the other things are merely earthly concerns, and all of them pass, however JESUS is forever, and it will be with him that those who trust in him will be forever.
Another biblical example that we must build our dreams and life projects on a solid foundation is found in the book of Matthew Chapter 7 Verses 24 – 27, where JESUS says: Therefore, whoever hears these words of mine and practices them, I will compare him to a prudent man, who built his house on the rock; and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell not, because it was founded upon a rock.
And whoever hears these words of mine and does not do them, I will compare him to a foolish man, who built his house on the sand; and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell, and great was its fall. These verses make clear that those who do not have their dreams, projects, in short their life on a solid foundation, capable of resisting any adversity, will certainly go to ruin.
JESUS is the only solid foundation capable of resisting any adversity, for health becomes disease, joy becomes sadness, strength becomes failure, love becomes hate, wealth becomes poverty, beauty becomes ugliness, youth becomes old age, however JESUS IS THE ONLY GOD AND SAVIOR, WHO DOES NOT CHANGE, and will be the same forever and ever amen, who must be our reason for living.
Believe in this and you will see how much GOD can do for you.
